Social Media Soars: Southeast Asia Tops Global Charts in Brand Engagement

The latest ‘We Are Social’ report reveals a global increase of 266 million social media users last year. Southeast Asia leads in brand engagement on social media, with Indonesia (62.8 per cent), Malaysia (61.5 per cent), and the Philippines (60.0 per cent), ranked second, third and fourth respectively globally. Thailand (53.7 per cent) and Vietnam (52.5 per cent) also exceed the global average of 48.9 per cent, highlighting the region's significance in social media marketing for brand discovery. This underscores the critical role social media plays in connecting brands with users in Southeast Asia.
